Black and White.....

When I saw challenge #57 "BLACK AND WHITE" over at Stamp Ink Paper I immediately knew what image I was going to use but I had ordered it a few days ago and only yesterday it finally arrived. It's the gorgeous image from the Power Poppy stamp set Everything's Even Rosier by the awesome Marcella Hawley.
I'm also linking this card to the Power Poppy B Happy July Challenge where Kathy Jones is our host, and is asking to create a card with things that begin with the letter "B", I used only BLACK to color my card and I have the BUTTERFLY fluttering around.   Here is my card.

I stamped the image onto a panel of white card stock with Versafine Onix Black ink and colored it with my black Prismacolor pencil, I finished this card in just over 30 min. The sentiment is from this set but I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, I did the same with the butterfly, which sadly, I don't know where this set I have had for years came from. I didn't do this to the roses and cups because I was going to colored them with the pencil and a paper stump dipped lightly in baby oil and the embossed parts kind of peel off when you rub them, don't ask me how I know, LOL!!
This image looks gorgeous in bright colors, I've seen it but I think coloring just the roses in black and white makes it look very elegant and a bit sophisticated, to me at least.
I got my inspiration from this beautiful card I found on Pinterest made by Jessie Banks she colored it with Copics but I don't have any, believe me, I've tried with no success, I trust my SU markers, my Crayola markers and my Prismacolor pencils better.

This card is so lovely and believe me, I will stamp this images again and I will color it but, for this SIP challenge, I left it Black and White.
Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.

Here is the banners that inspired my card.

This stamp speaks for itself without a lot of fluff. Gorgeous creation! Thanks so much for the sweet comment on my mixed media video. It really means a lot to me and I hope it encouraged you to try something new. Hugs, Autumn

Thank you Autumn, I really enjoyed your video and I will try to make a card with texture and different media. So far, I feel safe with water coloring and using Prismacolor pencils and paper stumps dipped in baby oil, which I only discovered recently but, when I see cards like yours, I really want to try.
Thank you for stopping by.

Wow, what a beautiful image simply in black and white, and then even amped up a bit with a little card. Very stunning both ways, Maria. Thanks for joining us at Stamp, Ink, Paper this week! Crystal

Yup!! my friend, I just grabbed my card base and layers from my stash of precut card stock, (I'm so glad I decided to do this, saves me a ton of time)stamped the image and went over the flowers with the pencil, easy peasy.
I love the way it turned out.
Thank you for stopping by.
